Gaza 2014: The Final Solution Begins

As Israel slaughters its way through Gaza, it’s frustrating to watch discussions get confused by the daily complexities of the conflict, because the underlying truth is incredibly simple: the Zionists that now firmly control Israeli government intend to take permanent control of Gaza, making it a part of their nation. There is no nuance or balance needed to see the big picture. This might be illegal, brutal and savage, but nobody can claim not to understand it. To illustrate the point, here are four maps showing Israel and Palestine at various points in the past century. Gaza is the little strip of green on the coast on the left.

The incredible shrinking Palestine
The incredible shrinking Palestine

In Israel’s colonial plan, Gaza is a minor issue. The real prize is the West Bank, and as the map shows, that is being taken one settlement, one house at a time. Those spots of green are getting smaller every day. They are little spots of misery in a wealthy land, lacking the water, roads and other infrastructure available to the rest of Israel, and facing regular violence from Israeli settlers, who are backed by IDF forces. The biggest prize of all is Jerusalem, and as the map shows, that was once clearly part of Palestine, and is now being surgically extracted and grafted on to Israel.

From a historical point of view, the events in Israel-Palestine are fascinating to watch. Once, such land grabs were commonplace. In fact, every point on Earth was once inhibited by different racial and tribal groups: America and Australia were, of course, not white, England wasn’t Anglo-Saxon and China wasn’t Chinese. But blatant colonialism has mostly been banished into history. Israel-Palestine is (one can hope) the last example of a once normal class of human behaviour. It is also the only colonial takeover ever to be recorded in such minute detail on social media.

In 2005, Israel withdrew all Jewish settlers from Gaza. At the time, this was hailed as progress; but Israel had no intention of staying out, or of allowing Gaza to operate a normal economy or society. As soon as the withdrawal finished, a savage blockade was begun, ostensibly to prevent terrorist attacks. Gazans (including children) were terrorised, arrested, tortured, humiliated. Gazan fishermen were prevented by the Israeli navy from legally fishing, often coming under gunfire. Denied building materials and fuel, infrastructure crumbled. Disease spread and life expectancy fell. Gaza remained a desperate place, isolated even from the main body of Palestinian life in the West Bank.

The Hamas Myth

So it’s no surprise that support for the conservative Hamas grew in Gaza, creating a rift between Gazans and those in the West Bank who largely supported the secular Fatah movement. Hamas’ rise was aided by Israel, which benefited by sowing division in Palestine, and by creating for itself an “extremist” enemy. In the propaganda war, Hamas has repeatedly proven itself useful to Israel, as has been seen again in the current conflict, confusing observers into believing that Israel actually needs to defend itself against a mortal enemy.

Hamas was elected to power in Gaza in 2006, much to Zionist delight. Now the Israeli population could be whipped up into an eternal state of fear against the extremists, and the lines between Hamas and all Palestinians could be repeatedly blurred. It is often pointed out that Hamas calls for nothing less than the destruction of the state of Israel, and this is true, but it is falsely claimed that Hamas could never be persuaded to recognise Israel. Hamas has often proven itself far more pragmatic than the “terrorist” image crafted by Israel.

Hamas has come close, at various times, to reaching a peace agreement. But Israel has never wanted peace, and nor does it want a Hamas “monster” that turns out not to be monstrous after all. Conciliatory Hamas leaders have repeatedly been assassinated by Israel: this fact alone exposes the lie that peace has ever been on offer. In 2012, Hamas leader Ahmed Jabari was close to signing a peace agreement, and so Israel, true to form, murdered him. Hamas has never been a serious obstacle to peace: Israel is the only obstacle to peace, because accepting peace would mean abandoning the colonial Zionist project of taking all of Palestine.

Again, in the current conflict, Hamas’ demands have not been extreme. Hamas has offered Israel 10 conditions for a lasting truce. The conditions are all reasonable, and in most cases simply demand that Israel complies with international law. And yet, Israel rejects them, and thanks to the lies of global media and governments, the public is allowed to believe the “peace with Hamas is impossible” lie.

Hamas is widely disliked by most Palestinians, and is largely powerless; and yet the ongoing slaughter is presented as a “war” between two sides. Such is the comedy of Zionist propaganda.

The Genocide

Since withdrawing from Gaza in 2005, Israel has alternated between providing slow death and fast death for the people of Gaza. During Operation Cast Lead in 2008/09, around 1,400 Palestinians were killed. Around half of these were civilians; those classed as “fighters” included many Palestinian police, who had been deemed a valid military target by Israel. The UN’s report, carried out by Richard Goldstone (a Jew), made clear that Israel had been repeatedly guilty of war crimes and violations of humans rights.

Besides the human cost, Israel destroyed or damaged schools, hospitals and 20,000 homes during Cast Lead. Once the conflict was over, a resumed blockade ensured that these could not be rebuilt. Gaza became increasingly unfit for human existence: in 2009, the UN reported that Gaza’s water supply was close to collapse – and yet Israel continued to blockade any investment in infrastructure. This has been nothing less than slow genocide, carried out in full view of the world.

Those Rockets

So Hamas has blindly fired puny rockets at Israel. Didn’t Native Americans have the right to fire arrows at white settlers, even if the act was futile? The firing of rockets is futile, and plays into Israel’s hands. But what. The fuck. Are Palestinians supposed to do? By way of comic interlude, here’s a cat being startled by a scary Hamas rocket.

The Anti-Semitism Shield

As a Jew, I have no fear in attacking Israel, but many of my non-Jewish friends tell me that they often hold back for fear of the standard “anti-Semite” attack. During this current attack on Gaza, I’ve been heartened to see increasing numbers of Jews, in the UK, US, Israel and elsewhere, standing up for Palestinians. Ex-IDF soliders too have been speaking out. In doing so, they help burst the myth that this conflict is about Jew against Arab, or Jew against Muslim.

It is true that anti-Semitism is, and has been for centuries, a powerful force, especially in Europe. It may well also be true that European anti-Semitism is on the rise. In part, that rise is the result of Israeli terrorism. Europe’s Jews can’t expect support from Israel’s Zionists; indeed, the Zionist wet dream is that an upsurge in violence against Jews in Europe will drive us to Israel, increase the Jewish population there, and add strength to the conquest of Palestine.

The Final Solution for Gaza

Oh – did I mention that Gaza has an estimated $4bn of gas reserves?

So it has been obvious, for years, that Israel’s 2005 withdrawal from Gaza was a temporary step, rather than an acceptance that Palestinians could keep hold of that little coastal strip of land. The question was when, and how, they would seize Gaza.

Today, we began to learn. The map below was tucked away at the bottom of a BBC news article. Israel, which has already killed over a thousand in the current conflict, and maimed countless more, declared a “buffer zone” in Gaza, and advised civilians to leave it. The problem with this announcement being that the zone takes up almost half of Gaza. Or, in other words, Gazans are being squeezed into half the previous space: and Gaza was, already one of the most densely populated places on the planet. Gazans (half of them children) are, as we speak, being driven into the sea.

If this isn’t genocide, what is? Will the world wake up? If not now, when?

Top Morons Of 2012

Print2012… what a moronic year it’s been! This blog is now over two years old, and despite warnings from some that my base may be eroded by improving education and the global spread of information, worldwide moronic activity shows no sign of peaking. So attempting a comprehensive round-up of moronic events has proven to be way beyond my capabilities. Instead, here’s a selection of my favourite moments from the year. Feel free to add yours in the comments section.

A big Thank You to those of you who read this blog, follow me on Twitter or listen to my podcasts. There’s plenty more to come in 2013, including – watch this space – MoronWatch: The Book! Please subscribe to my mailing list to make sure you catch all the news.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, I present my moron selections for 2012! Spoiler for lazy people: my moron of the year is nominated at the end of this article.

GOP Madness: I’ve tried my best to maintain a global view, but as ever, the US has managed to punch above its weight, thanks in large part to the Republican Party. The Republicans have become MoronWatch favourites by adopting an unusual electoral strategy: represent only the interests of billionaires. This isn’t a sure-fire way to win elections, as billionaires represent somewhat less than 0.01% of the US population. To make up the difference, the Republicans have embraced a diverse selection of moronic policies to attract the votes of nut-jobs ranging from creationists to lovers of hi-tech weaponry to good old-fashioned racists, and pretty much anyone with an IQ below 70. This is a fairly unruly group to control, which meant that no electable person could be selected to run for President in this year’s elections. The result of that was that Mitt Romney was chosen, because he was the candidate that fewest Republicans hated (though few of them actually seemed to like him). And the result of that was that Barack Obama was cleanly elected to serve a second term. Special mentions must go to the crazies who failed to become Republican candidates, but provided me endless entertainment, including: Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Herman Cain and perhaps the greatest moron of them all, Rick Santorum. Only the absence of Sarah Palin, who in her endless search for media attention endlessly hinted that she might run, detracted from an otherwise top-rank moron line-up.

Slutgate: Right-wing moron-jock Rush Limbaugh was outraged in March that contraception advocate Sandra Fluke, could dare call for public funding to be put into making contraception more easily available. So outraged, that he labelled her a slut; and then since that clearly wasn’t extreme enough, he also called her a prostitute (reasoning that, if the public were paying for her pills, she was basically being paid to have sex).

Invisible Children: Kind-but-gullible people were convinced by Kony 2012, a viral video campaign, to donate to a non-profit organisation, Invisible Children, that was “raising awareness” about the horrendous Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda. The video, however, was deeply inaccurate, was pushing for US military involvement, and didn’t make clear that the campaign’s devil-figure, Joseph Kony, had already been chased out of Uganda. Furthermore, the video presented a complex situation as a simple good-vs-evil one, failing to point out the rapes and other human rights abuses of the “good guys”, Uganda’s moron President Museveni and his army. But it worked, and raised millions for a dubious cause. Some of these millions were apparently put to good use by the group’s leader Jason Russell, who, just after the campaign peaked, was found naked in the street, masturbating and pounding his fists on the pavement. He later said his mind had “betrayed him”. I guess a few million dollars buys a lot of… “mind betrayal”.

Panicky in the UK: British fuel tanker drivers made a strike threat in Spring. Government ministers tried to win the propaganda battle against them… by warning of coming fuel shortages, and telling people to fill up their tanks, just in case. Francis Maude went even further, telling people to fill up jerrycans and keep them at home in their garages (presumably forgetting that widespread amateur storage of flammable substances may be considered a fire risk). British morons like nothing better than a good panic-buying spree, and quickly long queues developed at petrol stations around the country, with some suppliers running dry.

Tennessee Gateway Sex: It seems that runaway rates of Christian belief in Tennessee have failed to prevent runaway rates of teenage pregnancy (strange – how can you get pregnant while you’re praying?) – so the state legislature passed a bill banning the “promotion of gateway sexual activity” by teachers. The bill was strangely lacking in detail, raising the concern that teachers may be sued for allowing kids to hug or hold hands.

Carolina Warming Denial: With global CO2 emissions reaching new records, it’s looking increasingly likely that the targets set 15 years ago in Kyoto will be missed by a mile. Scientists are despondent about staying within the “safe” warming target of two degrees centigrade by 2100. It’s even increasingly likely that the unthinkable “human civilisation might collapse” target of four degrees may be breached. Brave Republican lawmakers in North Carolina, a coastal US state that may see huge costs from sea level rise, seem to have found a solution: they outlawed the use of scientific projections that predict sea-level rising due to climate change. Now, let’s just hope that the global climate respects North Carolina law.

Lock Up The Gays: Staying in North Carolina, Pastor Charles Worley thinks he’s found a sensible way to deal with the “lesbians and queers”: lock them up behind an electric fence and wait for them to die. That would work.

South Carolina Rape Victims Don’t Matter: While the Republicans fight tooth and nail to maintain tax cuts for the wealthy, Nikki Haley, the Governor of South Carolina, vetoed $450,000 of spending to help rape and sexual assault victims, explaining that this money went only to help a small minority of people in the state. Apparently rape is only an issue when above 50% of the population have fallen victim.

Israel’s “Infiltrators”: Israel’s drift to racist nationalism gained global attention when mobs turned on African immigrants and their businesses. The politicians, including Israel’s moron leader, Netanyahu, just stoked the anger, and said that African “infiltrators” would be sent home. The irony of Nazi-style language and tactics being used in Israel was apparently lost on many Israelis.

Boy Band Jihadis: top British boy band One Direction ruffled the feathers of right-wing moron blogger Debbie Schlussel when Muslim band member Zayn Malik tweeted about Ramadan. One Direction, she decided, are an insidious plot to “pimp Islam” to gullible teenage American girls.

Economics For Morons: George W Bush, the President who inherited a budget surplus and left office leaving a huge debt and a burst housing bubble that stalled the global economy (but richer billionaires), launched a book on Economics. No, really.

World’s Most Moronic Sheriff: In 2011, Barack Obama neatly handed Donald Trump his ass by publishing his long-form birth certificate just as Trump was getting into full-blown birther mode. Realising that birther morons are still looking for a hero, Arizona’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio took up the baton this year, announcing that his investigators had proven Obama’s birth certificate to be a forgery. Such conspiracies are largely met with a yawn these days, but apparently not to Arpaio’s devoted supporters.

Homophobic Fried Chicken: Dan Cathy, CEO of US “Christian fast food chain” Chick-Fil-A (yes, apparently even junk food is religious in America) decided to speak out against gay marriage. It would be nice to be able to say this hurt Chick-Fil-A’s profits, but Republicans such as Mike Huckabee stepped in to support the deep-fried morons, declaring a “Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day”, which saw morons lining up to eat gay-hating poultry.

Jobbik Jew: Nationalism is Europe’s nasty little secret, and it’s back with a vengeance – no more so than in Hungary, where the far-right Jobbik party is rising in popularity. So it was with great amusement that we watched outspoken anti-Semite Jobbik MP Csanad Szegedi get unmasked as a Jew, whose grandmother had been in Auschwitz. Reportedly, this hasn’t done wonders for his political career.

Legitimate Rape: Tea Party-backed Senate Candidate Todd Akin made global headlines when, during an interview about abortion, he claimed that pregnancy from rape was rare, because women’s bodies have the magical ability to prevent conception in the case of rape. This even upset some in the Republican Party – presumably because it implied that God carries out abortions on behalf of rape victims. Thankfully, the people of Missouri decided that Akin wasn’t for them, and he lost his election bid on November 6, along with a number of other Tea Party morons.

The Joy Of Slavery: Yet more crazy Republicans… Jon Hubbard of Arkansas published a book in which he claimed that “slavery was a blessing” because it gave Africans the chance to live in “the greatest nation ever established”. He apparently didn’t notice that Europeans and Asians were given the same chance – but without being raped, forced to work, beaten, killed and separated from their loved ones.

BNP Fail: Conscious that his far-right British National Party (BNP) is losing support, Nick Griffin decided to play the homophobia card, apparently not realising that British attitudes had changed. When a gay couple won their court case against a hotel owner who refused to let them stay, Griffin tweeted their address, with the threat that a “British justice team” would be visiting them. The BNP then followed up with a poll on their web site, asking: “Would you leave a gay couple to babysit your child? Vote now!” – the result? 98% voted yes, which probably wasn’t the answer the fascists were expecting.

Moronissimi! Europe’s most conservative country showed its disdain for science when seven Italian scientists were convicted of manslaughter for saying that an earthquake was unlikely in Aquila, shortly before the quake in 2009 that killed 300 people. The undoubted effect will be to push scientists out of Italy, and frighten many of the remainder into silence. Meanwhile, a Rome-based fraudster who claims to be God’s representative on Earth, but also failed to predict the quake, was not charged with any offence.

Kentucky Lends God a Hand: God, apparently, isn’t powerful enough to speak for himself – luckily, he has the Kentucky state legislature on his side, which passed a law mandating the state Homeland Security building to post a plaque outside recognising the “power of almighty God”. Never mind that this law blatantly breaches the first amendment to the US Constitution – anyone breaching it faces 12 months in jail.

O Canada… WTF!? Remember when Canada were the good guys? The sensible ones who had the misfortune of having all those nut-jobs located south of their border? Not any more: all that tar-sands oil seems to have gone to their heads. Flush with all the new cash, Canadians elected a hideously right-wing government in 2011. This year, the UN General Assembly held a historic vote to finally recognise the battered and bruised state of Palestine, which was passed resoundingly. Only nine states of 193 voted against, including (predictably) Israel and the US. The other seven included world giants like Palau and Micronesia. And Canada. Not only did the Canadians feel comfortable belonging to such a bizarre little club, but their moron Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird then threatened to retaliate – presumably by cutting off Palestinian aid.

Israel’s Moronic Expansion: Israel then decided to “retaliate” against the vote for Palestinian statehood by announcing a huge expansion of illegal home building in East Jerusalem (which doesn’t actually belong to Israel) – this new development is hugely significant because it cuts Palestinian East Jerusalem off from the Palestinian West Bank, effectively annexing all of Jerusalem for a future invasion and occupation by Israel. Middle East watchers will have noticed a pattern here: Israel “retaliates” against almost anything, from Palestinian rocket fire to the sun rising, by building new homes in Palestinian territory. Palestinians know that new home building is an inevitability, regardless of what does or doesn’t happen. The only thing that could stop this endless theft of land is for the international community to show some guts in backing international law – but the US (and its poodles) won’t allow that to happen.

Guns Don’t Kill People, X-Boxes Do: The year ended with yet another school shooting in the United States: 20 children were gunned down by yet another crazy with easy access to automatic weaponry. The US then went into its carefully prepared response to such events: a debate – incomprehensible to international observers – on whether the problem in America is caused by too many weapons or too few. I’m one of those who agrees that these kinds of events aren’t driven by gun availability alone – there are deeper problems. But a recent event in China proved the point: a madman attacked 22 schoolchildren with a weapon; none died. His weapon? A knife; the parents of those children can at least be thankful that a gun wasn’t available. Moronic gun lobby group the NRA were silent for a few days after the massacre, and then broke their silence with a press conference hosted by Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre. A low-key, compromising stance had been expected; but LaPierre failed to deliver this, instead delivering a speech described by the New York Times as a “mendacious, delusional, almost deranged rant“. He blamed pretty much everything and everyone – except the guns. He called for armed police in every school (funded by the taxpayer, not the gun industry, of course). In a fair world, LaPierre would have been gunned down by a crazy during his speech – but alas, he lives to spew bile another day. Wayne LaPierre, well done: you are our Moron of the Year, 2012!

Report From Palestine

In this audio interview, I meet with a British activist who has visited Palestine twice this year. She reports back on the reality of life for people in the West Bank and Gaza, and we talk about Israel’s actions and plans to “cleanse” and colonise Arab land.

Bringing Love to the Children of Palestine

Palestinian ChildThe news from Israel/Palestine (at least the real news, rather than the sterile state-approved variety carried by much of the world’s mass media) is relentlessly grim. The lives of ordinary Palestinians, so dehumanised by racist, biased reporting, are always on the verge of desperation. Israel constantly turns up the pressure, preventing people from travelling to work, restricting supplies of clean water and other basic goods; not to mention daily small-scale violence, and the occasional, astonishing act of mass-slaughter, like Operation Cast Lead almost four years ago.

I report frequently on news from the area (often using the wonderful resource provided by Jews For Justice For Palestinians) – I see no short-term solutions, but the first act must simply be to raise awareness worldwide. But what can ordinary supporters of Palestine do to help? If the political problem is intractable, at least the lives of ordinary Palestinians can be relieved by gestures of love and care. The Palestinians often feel abandoned by the world – with good reason.

It’s currently Ramadan, the fasting period, which is followed by the celebration of Eid. Four Londoners, will soon be travelling to Gaza to volunteer in the Jabalia refugee camp, in which around 100,000 people are squeezed into 1.4 sq km, which makes it among the mostly densely-populated places on Earth. The Israelis, in their wisdom, bombed one of the UN-run schools in the camp during Cast Lead, killing 40 civilians, mostly children. The four will be carrying gifts for some of the children there; at least to give a moment of happiness, as well as a reminder that people outside Gaza do care about the atrocities being perpetrated.

Please support these four Londoners in their journey. They are covering all of their travel expenses by themselves; any donations will go towards Eid gifts for the children of Jabalia refugee camp.

The New Holocaust Denial: Ignoring Israel’s Final Solution

Vanishing Palestine
If This Isn’t Genocide, What Is?

To hear Europeans speak today, you’d think that nobody in the 1930s and 1940s supported the industrialised genocide that destroyed Europe’s Jewish population. And yet, history tells otherwise. Most people in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy and other European states simply ignored what was going on (if they weren’t actively complicit). Britain and other nations refused to allow in Jewish refugees. Most of those on the right, and many on the left, accepted at least part of the “Jewish Problem” justification. European Jews had no powerful friends.

When the state of Israel was founded after WWII, Europe rushed to recognise and embrace it. Although it was created by terrorism and ethnic cleansing, Europeans turned a blind eye – partly out of guilt, and partly to maintain that anti-Semitism was someone else’s fault. “Me, anti-Semitic? But look, I support the state of Israel!” As millions of Arabs were forced from their homes, nobody said anything.

But those who thought the Zionists would simply be content with driving out some Arabs, taking some land, weren’t paying attention. Israel’s founders were already patiently working to a plan: the annexation of all the land.

Every war, every attack is an opportunity for retaliation. As we have seen repeatedly, a single terrorist attack – even one that claimed no lives – could be the excuse for a full-scale military onslaught, with troops, bombs and chemical weapons used against civilian targets. Although Israel repeatedly claims to be “defending itself against terrorism”, only the most blinkered could still believe that to be true. Every act of Israel’s has been to destroy peace treaties and encourage terrorism. When Yasser Arafat’s PLO was ready to do business, Israel aided the creation of Hamas, to make sure no deal could be done. In 2006, Hamas seemed ready to recognise the state of Israel – so the Zionists responded by attacking Hamas and strengthening anti-Israeli sentiment in Gaza. Israel is not looking for treaties or surrenders; the Zionist goal is, and has always been, a Jewish state on the entirety of Palestine (and quite possibly beyond).

The map above illustrates a clear trend. Israel knows that its genocide cannot be carried out too quickly; it must be slow enough that the Americans (if nobody else) can be persuaded that it isn’t even taking place.

Yesterday, I tweeted a link about yet another small part of this slow genocide. Israel is about to begin rounding up around 70,000 Bedouin Arabs,  destroy 35 villages, and place these people into – effectively – concentration camps. I used the term Final Solution in the tweet – this term related to the annihilation of European Jews by the Nazis.

My tweet received some hostile reaction (as tweets about the reality of Israel always do) – and not just from Zionists. It seems that the term – Final Solution – is now exclusively for Jewish use, and can only be applied to one specific genocide. But I picked the term very carefully. To deny use of the term means denying a deliberate genocide, with a planned end-game,  is underway in Israel/Palestine. And without doubt, genocide is happening before our eyes.

The Nazis talked of a “Jewish Problem”, and formulated a Final Solution to it: the Holocaust. Likewise, the Zionists see the existence of Arabs in Israel and the West Bank as their “Palestinian Problem”, and they too are working on a Final Solution. The round-up of the Bedouin mentioned above is just one of many small pieces of this genocide. Most of the genocide takes place in fragments so small that unless you pay attention, it could appear like a series of unlinked incidents. Use of chemical weapons against civilians. Cutting water supplies. Olive groves destroyed. Zionist settlers allowed to shoot civilians, even children, while the IDF stand by and watch. Day in, day out, Palestinians are killed, injured, arrested, beaten, driven from their homes, see their homes demolished and many more humiliations, provocations and injustices.

Many on the left are either afraid to be labelled anti-Semitic, or are genuinely blind to the scale of the Zionists’ ambitions. Being of Jewish background, I can laugh off accusations of anti-Semitism; I applaud the bravery of those non-Jewish supporters of Palestine who are called anti-Semites on a daily basis. The Zionists use every tool in their arsenal, and accusing opponents of racism is one of their favourites. I find it tragic that the mainstream left, which failed to see Europe’s approaching genocide in the 1930s, seems oblivious to an ongoing genocide.

In case you’re still missing the big picture, you’ve ignored the past 60 years of evidence, and the map above doesn’t help either, let me put it in plain English: the Zionists have no intention of stopping until every last scrap of land in Israel and the West Bank is taken by Jews. But this leaves them with a “Palestinian problem” – despite already killing or expelling millions, there are still millions of Arabs left. From the Zionist perspective, this must be dealt with – and it will be. The Zionists have not stopped advancing, killing or grabbing land for one single day since the 1940s. How naive would you have to be to assume they intend to stop now?

Simply grabbing most of the land isn’t enough for the Zionists to achieve their goal. Even within Israel, there is a growing Arab population. Left untouched, this will overtake the Jewish population in size at some stage. The Zionists are on a long-term mission; the creation of a permanent Jewish state requires a Final Solution: a permanent guarantee that Israel will remain Jewish. This inevitably means “cleansing” the land of non-Jews. Their logic leaves no space for any other interpretation. Besides the endless violence in the West Bank, and the brutal blockade of Gaza, the Final Solution must take place within Israel too. Recent mob attacks on African immigrants have been widely reported; but this is institutional, not just street violence. Non-Jews are harassed at the border, and refused medical treatment. Now Arabs within Israel itself are being rounded up by security police – how much more closely does Israel have to resemble Nazi Germany before the world takes action?

Anyone who follows and understands the Zionist mindset will understand what is going on. The rise of fascist sentiment in the Israeli leadership, military and population is a prelude to what the Zionists believe must happen next; Israel has always committed atrocities since its birth, but now, much more blood must be spilt to finish the job. The West Bank cleansing is growing in speed; attacks on non-Jews in Israel are accelerating. And Israel beats the drum of war towards Iran and Lebanon too. It appears that some sort of deal has been struck between the US administration and Netanyahu – he went quiet after his meeting with Obama earlier this year, and is likely waiting for the US Presidential elections to be held in November. After that, whoever wins, expect to see Israel go on the warpath (with the US in support).

It’s not fashionable to deny the Holocaust, but denying that Israel is committing genocide is perfectly normal. Politically correct, even. The European left bites its tongue, as it did in the 1930s. Many members of my extended family died in the Holocaust – I make no apology for comparing the Nazis with today’s Zionists; many Holocaust survivors have also done so. Again I feel frustration and shame as the cowardly left makes the same mistake it did in the 1930s – misunderstanding and underestimating the genocidal nature of fascism. The last Palestinian village in the West bank will look just like the Jews’ last stand in the Warsaw ghetto. And just as in Warsaw, most of the Western world will just look the other way.

Zionist Terror: It’s Time To Stop

I doubt there’s anyone who didn’t hear about the murder of the family of Israeli settlers in the West Bank settlement of Itamar on 12th March. The global coverage was hard to avoid, and the condemnation was huge – even the UN Secretary General had something to say. The howls of rage from the Israeli and American Zionists resounded around the globe. And yet again, the Palestinian people learned that a single Israeli life is worth more than 100 of theirs.

The aftermath of the attack was predictable: while world leaders condemned the murders, Israeli settlers used them as an excuse to attack Palestinians while Israeli security forces turned a blind eye or even joined in. These revenge attacks – known as price tag attacks, are old news for Palestinians in the West Bank, who face terrorism from settlers on a regular basis. But this time, there’s little press coverage and no global “outrage” – only Israelis get that consideration.

The far-right Israeli government used the murders as an excuse to announce the building of hundreds of new, illegal, West Bank houses. This is Zionist mathematics: dead Jewish martyrs = more houses, more land, and a step closer to their goal of complete extermination of Palestinians in the West Bank.

The Israeli right called on pro-Palestinian campaigners to condemn the Itamar killings, as if they shared some blame in them; and as ever, they obliged. But it’s time to stop apologising. This was not simply the slaughter of innocent civilians. Let’s call it like it is:

  1. West Bank settlers aren’t civilians living in their own homes, but soldiers in a war to illegally steal land. They are armed, and they use their weapons often against Palestinian civilians.
  2. Yes, three children were killed, and they weren’t combatants; but what kind of maniac takes his children into a war zone? (Answer: a Zionist maniac who believes his violence is approved by God, who wants him to take the land.)
  3. People under illegal occupation have the legal right to take up arms against their occupiers under the Geneva Conventions. This applies to the Palestinian people, though the UN and world leaders seem to forget this simple point. In other words, Palestinians can remove settlers from their land, by force if necessary; settlers don’t have the right to shoot Palestinians or take their land. They only have the right to leave peacefully.
  4. The terror will end when the Zionists choose for it to end; but since they believe they’re doing the work of God, they’ll never voluntarily stop. It’s up to Israel to withdraw all settlers from the West Bank.

So next time settlers are killed in the West Bank, it’s not for supporters of the Palestinian cause to apologise: just ask why they were there and point out that this war is of their making. The Zionists can end the war whenever they want; the Palestinians can’t.
